Terms and Conditions

These Rules and Conditions are the Rules and Conditions of Knocklyon Literary Festival literary Competition for the year 2024.

 

  • Submissions must be in the English or Irish language.
  • Submissions close at midnight on the 13th of September 2024.
  • All entrants must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of entering.
  • Writers can enter up to three pieces, but each piece must be submitted individually.
  • Shortlisted authors will be notified via email and invited to the award ceremony on the 4th of October.
  • Entries must be double spaced in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman Font. Please do not include images or coloured fonts. Please do not include the name of the entrant on the document, in order to make each piece anonymous to the judges.
  • Knocklyon Literary Festival will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the competition.
  • Flash Fiction or Poetry shall notbe rendered ineligible by reason of having been nominated or shortlisted for, or having won, any other award or prize.
  • The decision of the Judges as to the winners of the Flash Fiction and Poetry competitions shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence shall be entered into concerning the judging process.
  • Knocklyon Literary Festival may at any time and without notice alter the Terms and Conditions governing the competition or defer or discontinue it.
  • By entering the competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and conditions.
